WELCOME to the White County Housing Authority

HOUSING
​   Public Housing is limited to low-income individuals and families. White County Housing     Authority manages 115 units of Income Based Public Housing only.  Units are located in     Crossville, Grayville, and Norris City, Illinois. 

    White County Housing Authority does NOT have Section 8 or Housing Choice Voucher     Program. 

HOW TO APPLY
​    Applications can be printed from the website (click Application Link), or picked up at our     office located in Crossville. When you have completed your application, please contact the     office to schedule appointment. 
    *Applications are also located on the outside of the Community Center buildings located in         Grayville (217 N Main Street) and Norris City (403 E Locust Street), in an outdoor plastic            document container. 

ITEMS TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
    *Completed Application
    *Verification of all income from all sources (if working, please include 3 current paystubs)
    *Birth Certificates (originals) and Social Security cards for all individuals listed on the         application
    *A photo ID of all members over 18 years of age

PUBLIC HOUSING MISSION STATEMENT

To ensure safe, decent, and affordable housing; create opportunities for residents' self-sufficiency and economic independence; and assure fiscal integrity by all program participants. 

IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THIS MSSION, WE WILL; 

            * Recognize the residents as our ultimate customer.
            * Improve PHA management and service delivery efforts through oversight, assistance,                 and selective intervention by highly skilled diagnostic, and results-oriented field                 personnel. 
            * Seek problem-solving partnerships with PHA, resident, community, and government                 leadership.
            * Act as an agent for change when performance is not capable of committed to                 improvement.
            * Efficiently apply limited HUD resources by using risk assessment techniques to focus                 our efforts.
